How does it work?

Send us your deposit request with information about your jewel (photo, proof of purchase, condition, etc.) and the price at which you wish to sell it.
2. Entrust us with your jewel
We send you a first estimate based on the information provided. You can send us the jewel or drop it off at our boutique so that we can check it. If it is validated, we will send you the contract to sign.
3. Upload
The Mad Lords digital team will put your jewel online within 1 week: from photography to technical specifications in 3 languages.
4. Receive your payment
Once your jewel has been sold to its new owner and the legal 14-day cooling-off period has passed, we will pay you the sale price, less a fixed commission of 25% (excl. VAT).

How can I offer my jewelry for sale at Mad Lords?

Our experts will evaluate your request and get back to you within 48 working hours.
If your jewel is selected for sale by Mad Lords, our team will send you an e-mail with a DHL label to send us the jewel, as well as a deposit mandate to sign and enclose with your parcel. Shipping costs are paid by Mad Lords, including insurance.
You can also have your jewel shipped at your own expense, or drop it off at our Paris boutique at 316 rue Saint-Honoré by appointment.
On receipt of your jewel by Mad Lords, a definitive study will be carried out to validate the authenticity and condition of the jewel, as well as the desired selling price.
What types of jewelry do you accept?
We only accept gold or silver jewelry.
Do you accept items other than jewelry?
Yes, we accept luxury watches and bags.
How much does it cost to sell my jewelry?
Mad Lords takes care of the photography, the writing of the technical data sheet and the creation of the product page on our website. If technical costs are required to restore the jewel, they will be charged to the customer who delivered the jewel.
Only once your jewel has been sold will a commission of 25% (excl. VAT) of the sale price be deducted from your payment, covering in particular the sale and marketing of your jewel.

How will my jewel be authenticated?
Each piece of jewelry selected by Mad Lords is studied by our experts before being put up for sale.
An initial examination is carried out via the online application form, then physically confirmed by our experts on receipt of the jewel.
How much does Mad Lords charge for selling my jewelry?
Mad Lords' commission is fixed and transparent: it amounts to 25% (excl. VAT) of the sale price of your jewelry if you choose to pay in cash (via bank transfer or PayPal).
NB: VAT on Second Hand products applies only to the margin collected by Mad Lords.
Alternatively, you can convert the sale amount into a Mad Lords voucher for 100% of the sale amount, valid for 1 year online and in-store.
How soon will my jewel be sold?
We do our utmost to ensure that your jewel is sold as quickly as possible after it has been placed online. Depending on the rarity and price of the piece, lead times vary from a few days to several months.
Where on the website will my jewelry be visible?
Your jewel will be featured on our Second Hand page, as well as in its respective category and sub-categories. It may even appear on our home page and be referenced on our search engine.
Your jewel may also be presented through our various communication channels, including our newsletters and social networks.
Where will my jewel be kept?
Your jewel will be carefully and safely stored in the safe of our Paris boutique at 316 rue Saint-Honoré.
Will my jewel also be available in the boutique?
Yes, your jewel will be available at our Paris boutique at 316 rue Saint-Honoré.
Our customers may discover your jewel on the website, then come to the store to appreciate it in person, before finalizing the purchase.
Who will be in contact with the buyer of my jewelry?
The relationship with the buyer is entirely handled by Mad Lords, with a dedicated Customer Service department.
Do you offer instant purchase?
No, we only sell on a consignment basis.
When and how do I get paid once my jewelry has been sold?
You will be paid by Mad Lords after expiry of the buyer's legal withdrawal period (14 clear days from receipt of the item purchased) and within a maximum of 20 working days following payment by the buyer.
Payment will be made by bank transfer or PayPal transfer, whichever you prefer.
Mad Lords vouchers will be sent to you by e-mail.
What happens if my jewelry remains unsold?
If the item is still available for sale after 90 days, Mad Lords will offer you the option of revising the initial sale price, which you are free to approve or reject.
If you wish, you can have your jewel back on request, in which case it will be shipped back to you at Mad Lords' expense (limited to European Union countries).
Can I withdraw the jewel I entrusted to Mad Lords?
By signing the sales mandate, you agree to the sale of your jewel on our site for 90 days.
Only if your item is unsold and at the end of the legal 90-day period will you be able to recover it on request. It will be shipped back to you at Mad Lords' expense (limited to European Union countries).
