Mevaris was founded in Istanbul by Fatma Altınbaş, a third-generation member of a distinguished jeweler family, drawing inspiration from her family’s heritage and admiration for precious stones, combined with her extensive studies in anthropology at Yeditepe University and gemstones at the GIA diamond grading company in London. Mevaris jewelry is meticulously handcrafted using traditional techniques perfected over generations with high-quality diamonds and other precious stones carefully selected and set to enhance their natural beauty. Each piece is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship that has been a hallmark of her family’s legacy. Through this brand and its unique collections, Fatma aims to reinterpret the traditional heritage of the Grand Bazaar in a modern way and reintroduce the masters’ handmade jewelry to a global platform.
